good news/bad news [Creed]

Good news: Creed broke up, and the original lineup (Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, Brian Marshall) have a new band with a singer that doesn't suck...though I'd rather have seen Tremonti give Downshifter another go.

Bad news: "[vocalist Scott] Stapp is working on a solo album with hip-hop producer 7 Aurelius, according to a Wind-Up Records spokesperson." So we didn't get rid of the Jesus-wannabe who was the whole problem with this band....and now he's doing a solo rap album.

Perhaps it will tank and he'll go away for good....perhaps Alter Bridge will be decent and somehow NOT get throttled by the radio industry....perhaps there are even some people on this board who disagree and actually believe that Creed breaking up is a BAD thing. Discuss at leisure.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

no idea...I'm at work, and they don't have samples up on their website yet anyway.

If it sounds like old-Creed-minus-Stapp, cool; if it sounds like something else, cool as long as the new guy doesn't think he's got to impersonate Stapp to sell it to radio. There should be a single at radio by the end of the month according to MTV....probably online shortly thereafter, on the site if they're smart and through the usual backchannels otherwise.

Creed never impressed me, musically or vocally.

I liked My Own Prison and still have it; the other two albums blew.

The end.
