ussually listening to a song, but it has to be involved somehow to an anime I am watching or have recently seen.

song...always. I 'm actually usually in the car listening to a song and it hits me and I feel like an idiot for not making a connection with the two things before. Of course then I usually forget it....

I sometime get a hold of a source and try to come up with an idea but it never works (although the first idea I ever actually made came this way but it wasn't a very good idea in retrospect.)

Mostly I listen to music and imagine scenes from diferent anime.

I try to force creativity out of my skin (for lack of a better place to find creativity). I'v got jak so far. I have had one great moment of insipration! I was listening to Pink Floyde one day (I like Floyde). And it hit me! I'm depressed! Later on that week or so I was talking to my freind about beeing depressing, "Even the anime I have is depressing" "Come on, NieA, depressing?" "Bad example. Lain, look at that. And Haibane Renmei, thats depressing" "Haibane? I don't think so" "Think aobut it." "Yeah it has its points" Then it hit me! My head hurt for days, but were talking about insiration. I had my mom's instamental Flyode disk, and listened to it soon after. Wham! Haibane + Floyde = ??? I hade to make ??? Cuz I want to! I have yet to make it. I still don't have my mom's CDs to rip. I have DIBS! But hay, I can't stop you.

I get my ideas from the song. I'll listen and it'll remind me of something, or I'll force it and try to connect anime scenes to video, with varying success.

i get part of my idea from the anime. when i watch an anime i go "hey thats an anime i want to make an amv of. now all i need is to find a song to match." after that i just look for a song that sounds nice and can match the anime. i don't really think of my own theme. i let it come to me.

You lucky bastard. My bum has raised prices to 60 cents and now when I walk past him every day I gotta decide if I want a can of Mt Dew or an idea that day. I haven't edited for a month but on the plus side I haven't slept for a month either.
