add 'Fight' Catagory

got the idea a long time ago, but i searched the forum and didn't find the topic anywhere so

what about adding 'Fight' or 'Battle' or 'vs' as a new catagory for videos

this would pertain specifically to music videos that are centered around a fight or many fights between two characters in an anime

this would most likely have the biggest impact on anime that have extensive fight scenes like db/dbz/dbgt/pokemon/yugioh/digimon/naruto/can't think of any more anime that have long enough fight scenes to make a video out of

not saying that only fighting can be used, but a series like Kare Kano where characters are always at each other's throats can work too, as long as it only contains a limited amount of people in the video, i'd say 4 at most per video would qualify it as a 'vs' video

at first i was thinking 'isn't that just action?...' but action can be shown in many ways, not just fighting qualifies as action, so 'fighting' or 'vs' i think still qualifies as it's own genre of AMV

..i'd list examples... but that's a lot of searching

I think fighting would be a subbed category under Action.

..but i guess i wouldn't be happy unless someone agreed wit me anyway... so

it is!

but yeah, fighting would be very action oriented, but i think that videos about destruction and violence can be a different catagory than videos that had people in some sort of tournament or that had people that bickered a lot

i guess most importantly, i'm trying to get the point across that in the 'vs' videos i'm talking about, there's a story as to WHY they're fighting, a reason for the two+ characters to be involved in this lengthy duel

categorizing the video under Action would just imply that there is just that, Action, but with no purpose to it, simply lots of stuff moving around for no reason than to go with the beat. on the otherhand, a 'Fight' or 'vs' (still can't decide which term to promote) video would have that action, but would incorporate reasons behind the fighting, sorta to add drama to it

and that's my whole argument in a nutshell or two, just trying to get the idea out of my head, i just know it'd be easier for someone to search for a fighting music video without having to go through all the true action videos

it'd be a warning for those who do not want to to watch fight videos. but i still consider fighting as part of action.

I MEAN...crap, there's really no good way to spin that.

Anyways, I don't think we need a separate Fight category. It would be unfair to other uncategorized Action videos so we'd also have to include Running, Yelling, and Other Miscellaneous Activities categories that have meaningful action. Furthermore, I'm sure people would want to subcategorize Fight videos even further so we'd have to make Fist Fighting, Sword Fighting, Broken Bottle Fighting, Brother Fighting and Food Fighting categories too.

I just don't think it's necessary.

...but i didn't say the fighting would be meaningless, like every other video, it's still depend on what song is used to reflect the situation in the fight or between the characters
