Yup. Instrumental pieces give the creator more freedom to edit what they want. No wonder most of my newer AMVs have instrumental music.

Well, I don't think they're easier or harder to edit, but they are different.

Myself, I like making them cause... most of the music I really like just happens to be instrumental.

And oh, Jasper-Isis: Forbidden Memories - definitely deserves a recommendation here!

Otohiko, either you're really humble, or maybe you think your video doesn't belong to the "instrumental" category...but :

There are some "sounds" in this video that could be considered as vocals, but I'd say this video is an instrumental one.
I really like it because of it's originiality. And it's calm, somehow...

indstrumental songs can let you pass a story more than a lyric song which makes you lyric and lip sync.
also indstrumentel songs are a bit more...beautiful.
i like them more anyway.

Yeah, but it's not like you're forced the lip or lyric sync to the words if they're there anyway.

Not that I would know. :/
