Because he demanded his own trailer and the director refused to cave in.

#2:is legato in love with knives?

Yes, but in a good, healthy, love that a man has for his crystal pepsi.

Not enough disipline as a child.

No, he hates everyone and everything. Except for old Mr. T reruns.

#1:why is pip not in the anime?

Becuase the anime series had caught up with the manga series (at that point in time) and so they wrote their own story for the rest of the anime and not follow the manga. (that's why Incognito shows up)
And speaking of Pip, what about the classic rifle marksman Rip?

No, I don't think so. In fact in the manga, Knives crushes Legato's body and he spends the rest of the series in some body cast coffin.

However, Legato is rather strange......

Alucard thinks protectively of Integra (well, she is his master....), but I don't think he thinks about her in an intimate way.
He probably sees Andersong as a good foe, sort of a rival. Other than that, no love. (Leave ya yaoi fan-girls!)
Seras, hmmmmm, more like a prodigy. After all, he is "raising" her to be a vampire. (pun intended if you wish)
Himself........well I hope he's not a narcisist.....

Hmmmm....well he might like her breasts, but is more reserved about it than Lupin.
Actually, I haven't seen or read enough Lupin III to know.

J-0080 actually hits this one on the head:
Check out the manga at some point, Lupin was basically brought up with very little, if any direct parental supervision. As an odd result, he kind of takes after his father's irresponsible nature.

#6:does goemon like fugiko?

Goemon is really kind of neutral on her. As far as he's concerned, she's just there.
He doesn't see her as nearly as much of a hindrace as Jigen sees her.
