AMV Working Conditions

I haven't done much editing, but I'm at a new house with a new computer. I am in the computer room for the larger portions of the day. No one bothers me either. My sister lives in Michigan, and My little brother lives in Virginia. Me I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere Irland. It coo. My dad never uses the computer either. I'm here happily installing more software so I can make a real AMV outside of Windows Movie Suck. I'v gotten almost all I need.
One problem I do have is spelling. I have to check to make sure anything I put in AVISynth is spelled correctly (half of the time one part is speelee wrong). I usualy copy and paste AVS comands, so I don't make as many mistakes now.

That's alright, my computer won't even ACCEPT avs commands.

There it is! ITs under Video software help. Fixing DVD2AVI/AVS bla bla bla.

Actually yes, and I've had about 9 people (pro's, etc) try to help me with it and everytime it throws out the same error, I just don't think it likes my computer at all.

Live in my own little lovely-cheap shoebox of an apartment, and the neighbors are quiet. Though even when I lived with my family (during the editing of videos one through four) they didn't bother me much.

Oh, my computer's a little crotchety, but I'm planning to fix it up a bit. And my DVD collection can be fit into one milk crate, with room left over for all my PSX games.

Suddenly, I feel pretty fortunate.

Doh, I suddenly went insane for 2 seconds and forgot to post the actuall response I originally wanted to post, thats actually ontopic! Darn lack of edit button....

Anyway, I live with my dad currently, and work with him also. THat being said, sometimes I do get destractions like to go out to the store to buy something for him cuz hes to tired (i'm like I'm editing something here!)
or Kids (my 3 younger sister) comming in the room screaming I want to see "Why can;t I"! or "Childrens Project!" or "The one with all the guys with the amunition music!" or "Material girl!" Why oh why did I get them into AMVs....

Must be nice, having a job and being able to sleep. Blast this uncertain world we live in!

Ironically enough, not having a job and not being able to sleep have become major distractions.

My tailbone aches because I don't sit correctly. SO editing actually IS a pain in the ass for me.

That, and my parents keep yelling "Get off that damned computer!" doesn't help.

Then, while this is not directly related to editing...

Whenever I ask a question abotu somehting, my dad tries to connect it to AMVs for some reason. It's like he thinks I can understand nothing BUT AMVs.

Like, one time, I asked why we had two different wallpapers in the bathroom, because they looked stupid. And he gave me this big speech, starting off with, "Well, you know how in your music videos you pick two scenes to go together..."
