Whoa! Trippy! You haven't been getting into the "special" brownies again have you? Canadians.

Did anyone else read the "Project Doomrider" thread in the general forum? It was really startling, at least I found it so. Everyone was arguing and yelling about sigs and such. There didn't seem to be very good communication. The AV tech guy seemed overly concerned about people encroaching on his turf or making decisions without him, (even if the person in question was the project leader.) Speaking of which, it seems to me that Doomrider has a bit of an ego, naming the project after himself and demanding perfection. Just some thoughts. Heh, I love the anonyminity of a 31 page thread.

I've finally got around to making some major changes to my video and the whole first half is much stronger. The ending still needs some work but my brother has been beta testing for me over and over, sometimes even watching while I edit, and it's starting to achieve that polished feel that I'm looking for.

Been watching some new anime: "Crying Freeman" and "Samurai Deeper Kyo." Both AMV material. I think I'll start ripping Freeman, it's old animation style and unique feel really make it stand out. It's violence lends it to an action vid though, which isn't really my forte. I'll see what comes up.

Happy editing!

I think i will try to do both ideas. THen you guys can choose the better one, or even both if you like. July deadline should give me plenty time.

Woa, supersaiyan Otohiko ;p Hes powering up for his next project entry

Samurai Deeper Kyo... READ THE MANGA! ;p anime has nothing on the manga.... they butchered it in the transition. at least IMO.

On topic, Any word on the FTP situaltion? I;d like to see some new WIPs ^__^

I think the avatar has to do with me falling for HungryCrackPot's antics again, so, I guess it's something like brownies... >_>

Yea, I'm wondering about the FTP too. Although I have limited access to the net for the next couple of days, I could still look at some of the new things.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Well, you could just do what I've been doing. IMing it to people via AIM and ICQ. I'd like to offer to host stuff on my server. I've only got 60mb left. So if anyone has an IM program and their beta is 40mb or less (Less would be good. Then I could do this for more people) I would be happy to host it and post the link here. :D

What exactly is involved in hosting an FTP server? Because now that I am home for the summer I have access to a computer that is always on, has plenty of HDD space, a fast cable connection and possibly a constant IP. I would be happy to put up a temporary FTP so we can keep the ball rolling.

...

Did some reserch (what a concept!) and I think I can do this. There are free programs to deal with Dynamic IP's and it seems like it's just a matter of setting it up properly.

Rose4Emily - Am I missing something? Any advice on programs/security/you are doomed to failiure you ignorant fool! Would be apriciated.

I have put titles in my video!

They look really nice too, so it looks like they are here to stay. It seems like half the videos in the project have them now. Give in to your anger, you know you want to... Just one click, I know you want to create new title!

The video is finally nearing completion. My brother is helping me polish it and all that's left really is the ending.

ARGH!

After over an hour serching the internet for a site that would tell me how to go about hosting an FTP and downloading tral versions of expensive software I discover that I just needed to go back to Filezilla, where I got my client. Very agravated.

Serching on the internet is amazing. I spent 58 minutes finding that the program I wanted would be called an "FTP Server" and two minutes finding downloading instaling and setining it up (OK maybe that's a wee bit exagerated.) Terminology is everything.

But it paid off...

NEW FTP SERVER IS UP AND RUNNING!!!

...I think.

the username is Fantasia and the password Instrumentality.

The server number is 127.0.0.1

The setup and rules are the same, put thingsd in the inbox, get them everywhere else. I've thrown something in each of the folders, I'll add more later.

Try it out and post if it doesn't work.

For that matter post if it does work too.

*Crosses fingers*

Umm if by the sever num,ber being the IP 127.0.0.1 its not gonna work for anyone 127.0.0.1 is local host or its just your computer so if someone trys to connect there are only going to try to connect to there own computers.

It's not working. Check the server number. It seems a bit short to me. I hope you can pull this off. :)

I will make this work! :x
