Reign the Conqueror, exactly how bad?

Post by angelx03 » Mon May 24, 2004 7:17 pm

Ok, from what I heard from a couple people, this anime series is completely bad. Some of the reasons I heard is that the character designs were created by Peter Chung who's known for MTV's Aeon Flux. Other reasons is that the plot is somewhat disjointed. So do you guys have any comments on this series?

I remember when AS was airing it. I never really cared for it. I happened to see the very ending of one episode one day, and I was totally turned off by the horrible character design. The characters were hideous. A friend of mine saw some more of it, and he didn't care for it much either. I've never watched Aeon Flux, but that's another show I don't like the character design for.

Come to think of it, both shows kinda remind me of one of the Animatrix episodes.

hmm. interesting observation. I'll have to look into that if I ever get more free time (currently using it up by spending time on the forums).
I too was also turned off by the character design. I saw one episode and I didn;t find it that interesting (unlike bebop, saw one episode in the middle of the season and became an addict).
Perhaps I'm passing judgement on it too quickly. :?

Peter Chung also did the Matriculated segment which in my opinion very worthless. :?

Thongs.

Men should not wear those.

I don't care of Alexander the Great WAS gay...it's still inexcusable.

That makes sense.

I didn't care for that segment, though the weird monkey in a jar thing was kinda cute.

And yes, Alexander the Great was gay. Look it up.

I can't say I'd recommend that show for anyone...did anyone actually LIKE it? If so, I'm open to opposition.

You normally don't seen men in skimpy outfits. For some reason I seriously doubt that Greek soldiers (at least I think Alexander the Great was Greek) dressed like that. If so, then those poor men.
