Entering unfinished videos & Off-site Avatars

Post by SQ » Sat May 22, 2004 4:24 pm

Okay, I have two questions.

One. I have an unfinished AMV. I have no plans to finish it, however I'd like to distribute it. Would this be against the rules, even if it wasn't on local?

Two. I have an off-site avatar I'd like ot link to. Apparently the rules changed since the last time I've been here. It says linking ot off-site avatars can be no larger than 80x80. However before there was no limitation.

This is the avtar.

When used as an avatar, it doesn't stretch out the page, so I was wondering if it was still acceptable or if I had just misinterpretated the "new" rules. ^^;;

Thanks in advance for the help.

If you are going to release the video as is and not make any changes to it in the future, the video is technically "finished" and would be fine to list and host locally. However, if you do plan to finish it some day, the entry and upload should not be made.

Although the avatar is cool, all avatars should be no larger than 80x80 pixels. Sorry... :-(

I hope this helps.

It did, but alas!

Another question I forgot to ask in this thread.

I have a ton of AMVs I either never finished or were just "tests". They all "suck", and making entries for each one of them would be pointless.

Would it be "wrong" to make one entry for all of the lump sum of these to be put in? Not locally downloadable(obviously).

If it was to be hosted, it could be an indirect page with all of the grouped vids on it, or just many seperate direct links.

Just wondering if that'd be against rules to group videos in one entry like that.

Hey,

Generally when someone make a suck video, they don't want people to see it. However, if you want to flaunt your suckness, feel free to do so. Each video should have its own entry so that feedback for each video can be allocated to the right video.

My suggestion would be to mention in your member profile that you have many suck junk test videos and if someone wants to see them, follow the link indirect given in your profile.

I hope this helps.

Well, thanks Phade. Are you coming to AWA 10?
