Koshi Rikdo didn't write himself into his manga, that was something done later for the anime, Nabeshin too.

Excel saga isn't really supposed to make sense, but, if you grasp that fact quickly, it becomes an extremely enjoyable anime anyway. I enjoyed the zaniness until it started to get a reasonable plot in episode 24-ish.

Yes, 26 was the absolute most pointless, raunchy, and zany episode of the series.
