Four of my AMVs were created ENTIRELY using VirtualDub:
Merciless Lotus
Two Dragons and a Man
Zabuza Exits the Darkness
That's Some Bad Feedback
While creating an AMV in VDub isn't the worst thing in the world, there are a lot of things you have to deal with that you don't have to with a more normal video editing program. Framerates, re-compression, audio stream rates...the list goes on.

I believe it was trythil who posted the AVS Script of DEWM!, or perhaps Scintilla. One of the scariest things I've ever seen, and whoever it belonged to said it was relatively simple. Never underestimate the level of masochism editors are willing to attain =)Janzki wrote: I wonder if anyone has done an AMV with AviSynth only? THAT would be a pain.

trythil posted the script for '...and forever [dreaming]', insisting that it's not really anything complicated. As for masochism, well, AVISynth isn't that bad for a programmer.dokool wrote:I believe it was trythil who posted the AVS Script of DEWM!, or perhaps Scintilla. As for AVS only, I believe someone did an online Iron Chef that way, but I forget who.
