I think Kai uses VirtualDub a lot in his vids, you may want to check his profile...

You mean a video made completely with VirtualDub or just uses VD at some point?
This is a painlessly short sig.

Um, I believe the more commonly used term these days is "STD", not "VD". :D

I think that's where he does a lot of his effects and filters. If I remember correctly, he uses an editing prog based off of a capture card.

Four of my AMVs were created ENTIRELY using VirtualDub:

Merciless Lotus
Two Dragons and a Man
Zabuza Exits the Darkness
That's Some Bad Feedback

While creating an AMV in VDub isn't the worst thing in the world, there are a lot of things you have to deal with that you don't have to with a more normal video editing program. Framerates, re-compression, audio stream rates...the list goes on.

FoxJones made his first videos with VirtualDub, I think. Unfortunately they are not publicly available. :(

I wonder if anyone has done an AMV with AviSynth only? THAT would be a pain.

I believe it was trythil who posted the AVS Script of DEWM!, or perhaps Scintilla. One of the scariest things I've ever seen, and whoever it belonged to said it was relatively simple. Never underestimate the level of masochism editors are willing to attain =)

trythil posted the script for '...and forever [dreaming]', insisting that it's not really anything complicated. As for masochism, well, AVISynth isn't that bad for a programmer.

As for AVS only, I believe someone did an online Iron Chef that way, but I forget who.
