Well, I'm all into comedy myself, but those AMVs are hard to do. You have to have two really funny things that just happen to go together, and a working combination is rare.

My favorite comedy video: the Blood and Joker "Trouser Snake" trailer by TomServo3K.

not to worry, I have plans for a few ;p
but, Like allot of people said, good comedy is hard, and I must make sure I have the right stuff. My concept is solid, But I need to be more comfortable with my skillz to pull it off like I want it ;p

nah the real excuse is i'm to poor to buy the neccesary footage

heheh. I don't usually visit this section so I missed this before now, but

I was recently lamenting the lack of comedies in contests on LJ. (as you know... I mention for others reading the thread) The lack of comedy entries is one reason Anime North did away with categories this year.

*Not really, I'm being facetious. But ACen had 21 drama and 19 action videos. That's a lot to go through before 11 comedies, and not all of them were amusing.

At least the theme for Acen was humor based but yeah, there was a noticable lack of things to laugh at. Especially since I can't disagree with you about some of the comedies sucking.

I hope to make a comedy for next years contest just to balance things out (so instead of seeing a shitty action video from me you can see a shitty comedy. Hey, that's balance of a sort). If I do make a comedy may I include your haiku with the word fuck replaced by something that won't get me banned?
