Audio ripping sync error

While following the guide for ripping audio from DVDs using besweet and dvd2avi (which was quite easy to use, many thanks to AbsoluteDestiny

) My log from besweet gave me quite an eyeful. About three pages of

[00:00:00.416] E7: CRC error
[00:00:00:448] Stream error : Sync found after 541 bytes
[00:00:02.368] E7: CRC error
[00:00:02:400] Stream error : Sync found after 479 bytes
[00:00:04.352] E7: CRC error
[00:00:04:386] Stream error : Sync found after 216 bytes
[00:00:04.352] E7: CRC error
[00:00:04:384] Stream error : Sync found after 120 bytes

and no sound in the wav file at the end. I'm thinking this is likely an error with the AC3 file, but I've tried several different DVDs with the same result. I'm just wondering if anyone might have an idea on what I'm missing. Thank you in advance.

Hmm. Tried it with an MP3 on a whim - same errors, but got sound that time. Every second though, it skips backward a few frames and repeats itself.

Either your cdrom drive is getting too sensitive/dusty, or the ide cable is faulty.
