i'd just like to know what they are. i've only been here a month. what do you gain if youre part of one? is it some kind of prestiges thing to be a part of one? are you comited to certain obligations and responsablities? is it some kind of art/computer studio that rents its own building and manufactures AMVs like miramax does movies, or is it pretty informal, like just a bunch of friends who wanna say they hang out together? what does it mean when you say your video is from watever studio? does it mean the whole studio worked on it as a co-op thing, or the author just belongs to this group?
lol, how long is this gonna be?
i'd like an explanation of studios

There are famous studios that are an honor to be a part of, and then there are regular studios. You pretty much answered the question yourself, really.
Most people just make up a studio and they're the only member in it(like me), but others have a studio that is just a group of friends that, well, are a group.
When someone edits under the studio name, it just means they're part of the studio. Sometimes studio members will all work together for one video, but usually that is said in the video information.

Hey,
I'd go with the idea of "make your own" studio. Joining a studio may help you in terms of personal teaching, and perhaps some material for AMV creation, but you can get both simply by being friendly and asking Smart questions as well as being your own man/woman/it, whatever you prefer.
