Doesn't matter how they sound live, I love their music. And yes, alot of these bands aren't specifically "power" metal, but do cross genres. VP is more Progressive but their 3rd album Far Off Grace is heavy as hell.
Nightwish is Symphonic Goth Metal.
Elvenking and Tuatha De Danann are Folk Metal
Megadeth is Thrash
etc.

Well as labels go, you see one band called one thing on some site, and called something else on another.

I also happen to like Gordian Knot, Frameshift, and OSI. Completely different from what I normally listen to, but I like it.

I've been tempted to do a video to Holy Diver forever, but I don't think I'll ever be in the right mood for working with that kind of music for too long...
It's pretty fun to listen to occasionally, though.

Tell me, have you ever heard either band before? Because both of them are very much power metal. You're the one listing Megadeth, Finntroll, and Andrew W.K. as power metal, and then trying to tell me "he specifically said power"?

Power Metal, Party Metal.. it's the same thing. ;) .. Though, I may have been slightly stretching it with Megadeth, and definitely off track with Finntroll. Oh well. To be honest, no, I've never heard either band, and I've only seen their names suggested when someone is looking for Black/Death metal.

To me metal is metal no matter what genre its in, before we all know it someone is bound to create a Super Heavy Progessive Power Metal genre, not to mention adding and extra line for the critics as "extra crispy". Don't mind me I just thought I would throw that in.
