Kill Bill And Anime

Post by )v(ajin Koji » Sun May 09, 2004 11:45 am

Are there any new anime scenes in Kill Bill 2? I doubt it but just wanted to ask.

Also, what does everyone think of the prequel that's going to come out that will be animated?

Nope, no animation in Vol 2. In fact, Vol 2 was different movie compared to Vol 1. The first one was purely an action fest while the second one actually gets the story moving along and shows a puts a little more emphasis on the character development. As for the prequel, yeah I'm excited. I'm not sure when its gonna happen, but I'll be waiting. I'd really love to see what kind of influence Bill's surrogate fathers had on him and what made him the way he was.

Yea I agree to it being two different movies. (aside from stating the obvious). The 2nd one has action and some good scenes actually - like the eye patch lady fight, but not nearly as much as the first one.

Last fight was awesome though.

I thought in the first volume of Kill Bill the whole blood squrting thing was over used. It didnt seem necessary to have all that blood. It seemed rather lame and took away the serious affect.

I don't think the first movie was meant to be serious at all. It was easily noted from quote in prologue: "Revenge is a dish best served cold".

Haven't seen either of the movies, but I had heard the whole blood thing was done for realism. The heart has the strength to shoot blood 30 feet, depending on the size of the limb, closeness to the heart, etc.

Just don't ask me how I know.
Another pointless post!

that fucker, quinten tarantino..... wat was it, pulp fiction wen he had a whole scene were these 2 guys just say nigger the whole damn time?!?!?! "i got a dead nigger in the turnk and a dead nigger in the back seat...." spike lee called tarantino on that and tarantino had the nerve to get mad!!!!!!! that little shit! it WAS exessive, it wasnt REALLY in contex, and youre WHITE, YOU LITTLE FUCK FACE! i hate it when other BLACK people call each other nigger, y would i not have any problems here? and the scene were the "nigger in the back seat" dies? how did that affect the plot? would the movie be any different if they just cut that scene out? i just flicked to that movie and changed channels wen i saw that.

ne ways, sorry to rant... i actually enjoyed kill bill, vol 1, but its kinda sick that the only apeal is the gore! i mean, thats all you get from it! tarantino is like an idiot saphar (sp?????? dont even no if im saying it right). he can have all these insites about a culture, even one that he's not a part of, but usually, its only about the violence of the culture, and how it affects it, and how it differs from other violence in other cultures! its like, he can only think about violence! i'd hate to be HIS girl. probly into bondage shit.

just wow to the post above me, whatever

The blood squirting is suppose to be just as it is. It has been noted several times that he is heavy into old Chinese/Japanese flicks with obsessive gore and blood squirting. This should have been obvious during the fight with the 88. It wasn't even like it happened every seen, you can count them out easily.

It wasn't meant to be serious. It is fiction after all. Watch part 2 if you haven't already.

If you think that violence was obsessive, check out the old John Woo flicks with Chow yun fat.

"When I was little...my father was famous. He was the greatest samurai in the empire. and he was the shogun's decapitator. He cut of the heads of a hundred and thirty one lords. It was a bad time for the empire. The shogun just stayed inside his castle and he never came out. People said his brain was infected by devils.

My father would come home. He would forget about the killings. He wasn't scared of the shogun, but the shogun was scared of him. Maybe that was the problem. Then one night...the shogun sent his ninja spies to our house. They were suppose to kill my father, but they didn't. That was the night everything changed."
