Blah- forgive me for venting, but I just got my first, classic, "all 1's" opinion score on one of my group's videos. The most frustrating part of it is that the person who left the opinion left no reasons for why they gave us such a poor score, all the field boxes just had "k" in them, I suppose mostly just to fill up the open fields so that the automated system would accept their opinion.
I believe this was a very unfair review- left for the angsty purpose of just dropping our ratings or else to squick us ( I don't even know who this person is ) because I would have at least appreciated a reason as to why we got the score. Oh well.
So how has everyone else handled this if/when they had the same thing happen. And were you able to resolve it with the person who left the review?
So how many others have had to deal with this yet?

Well it happens. You could just email and ask phade to remove it being it's abusing the rules, but I doubt he'll get around to it.

On my Ready to Die video, I got a review that was all 1's, 2's and a 6. I think I got all 1's somewhere...

Unjustified ops suck. Just report them to mod drop box, and get it over with. I think complaining about them to other editors is unlikely to change anything.

Actually, that's just as obnoxious ( well, depending on whether you're a praise-whore or not ) because then you don't learn anything from it and for all you know you could be making crap and would never had the chance to advance any of your skills or ideas if people don't leave actual critical opinions- and then later, you'll show your stuff to some superior critic of it ( whether related to job or schooling, etc. ) and then get completely shot down- because no one ever stopped to tell you the little things you were doing wrong along the way- and just kept doing these "wrong" things. I schooled and worked in Art and Animation- and that is a field where you are constantly getting criticism- but it's always been extremely constructive regardless of how biting and blunt the criticism was- and I've always appreciated the honesty because I know people are simply trying to help me become a better animator/creator by showing me where my shortcomings are, so I can work to eliminate those shortcomings.fyrtenheimer wrote:Oh? and what if it's:

Yeah. Some idiot left me a bad review. Boo-hoo. I don't care about that so much as I just wish they would have taken a second to say *why* they left the bad review. I did email them, and I didn't say "Waaah!! Why did you do that you terrible, terrible big meanie". I actually just asked them if they'd at least take a second to go back and write in the review what made the video so bad in their opinion.
