Assuming you are using Internet Explorer like most people, I think this is how you change it...
Click the media button, then at the bottom of the bar that opens up, click media options. Under settings, make sure "Ask for preferred filetypes" is selected, and click "reset preferred types". Now when you download a video it should ask you if you want to save the file or open it.
Thats going from memory regarding what I have heard, at least. I personally use a decent browser such as Firefox myself, so I have no idea as this will actually work.
