mmm... well, in my circumstances, that's not gonna work (I don't have a credit card nor parents/friends willing to let me use theirs).

***

Gah. I feel defeated

No movie - no footage - no video :|

Looks like this one will have to be shelved for better days - really too bad. It looked good on paper.

So, I don't know. Reorienting myself to something else will probably prove difficult; I can't see anything else I can use for the same song, nor can I see anything else for the anime that I have access to right now.

Well, as the Japanese would say - shoganai...

My Bad

Post by NeoQuixotic » Thu Apr 29, 2004 5:10 pm

I figured out why my video was so dark. I accidentaly added a luminance or brightness filter in my AVS file that made it darker. My bad  . See, I told you I was new at this, I'm not even paying attention to what I'm scripting. I don't think I need to spend lots of money to get better quality DVDs, I'm just happy with what I got ^_^. Going to start my actual editing today or tomorrow using the bait and switch method. Should be fun. Now go away, I'm eating my ramen!

Good luck! Yea, it happens with AVS scripts. I, for one, had to ask twice in the Software forum before I got the footage for my last Spriggan video the way I wanted.

Just now, I ripped DVD 4 of KareKano. I may rip another one, but I feel reluctant to use too much footage. The idea is, since my big bad Bebop plan failed, do something relaxing for a change and mess around with something funny. I'll probably be doing a video focusing on ep. 19 of KareKano, and maybe other such similar weirdnesses in the series; for music - I'm looking through Zappa's fusion-jazz type material. If I find something, I'll go ahead with it. If not - we'll see

I have a question: Is the final product going to be like Fantasia 2000, where there's some commentary in the middle talking about the next movement, or is it just going to be from one video to the next?

Yea, that's the plan. I'm not 100% sure how this is done, but rose4emily assures he can handle that commentary part. If anything, I'm sure that will be discussed in more detail once we get closer to release.

But yea, the commentary is supposed to be there...

Damn the FTP damn it !!!!(holds fist in air) lol I wish I could be more patient. Also I was wondering if anyone would look at my video but completely slowed 90%? It makes it alittle low pitched and over 5mins (I edited out around 30secs from the original mp3)

Full beta to be uploaded tomorow.

Ooshna - I don't understand. Editing the song shouldn't slow things down, give more details.

As far as your video goes I really like the changes you've made. The new material is good too. I love the randomness of most of the images at 2:52-3:28, you could take that even further and remove the more reconizable ones unless you had some reason for choosing what you did but I like the idea of a bunch of random images. The part where he is floating on a white background seemed long the first time but just right the second time. Maybye you could fit the music more somehow (as it is it's completly mood synch.) I have a shitload of HW to do tonight so I'll write more later. Good job on the ending.

Practice Run

Post by NeoQuixotic » Thu Apr 29, 2004 10:07 pm

I've made a very early beta of my video. I uploaded it to the inbox of the FTP with a name of "Anubisx00 - End of all Eva (beta test).avi" Its a DivX and mp3 render. The title "End of all Eva" is not likely to be used, I don't like it at all. But I think my little preview isn't half bad since I'm a noob. Any tips on transitioning would be nice. I'm not sure if to use fades, dissolves, direct cuts or what. Like I said I'm kinda new at this, used to making Dbz vids :P !

Suppose Rose will have to put in a folder or sumthin for you guys to view it. Until then keep working on your great videos!

Thanks and All the pics are random so if you can tell me which ones are "reconizable" I'll take those out and replace them. And that floating part was hell to do b/c one time watching it and its fine then the next it looks off, then good then bad ect. ect.
