Even if it's breaking the rules, I don't see punishments listed. Unless they are buried deep in the comments.

I took me well over a year to finish Shame just because I had to wait for the R1 release (and I was too dumb to fure out how to rip my R2's. **hits self**) But really that worked out for the best, the vid is a thousand fold greater than the original coudl have ever been. I say wait! Painful as it is letting the idea (and you skills for that matter) ferment will prove more useful in the long-run.

This used digisubbed footage. I don't see anyone complaining...

I think it's supposed to be unlicensed digisubs...

When I made that vid, it wasn't domestic. I bought the domestic dvds so blah :p

um, soooo, is thier a final word on wheather we should or shouldnt get flamed for using fansubs ? then again, if fansubs arent allowed then the only use for the sub removal guide would be for the intro and outro (and most anime nowdays copes with a creditless opening/closing anyway)

I'm just afraid by the time they release region 1 DVDs I won't want to do it anymore... which would suck imo 'cuz right now I really like the idea I have.

Why wait?

Just dew it!

Quality doesn't make an amv. The editing does. I've seen some NASTY amvs quality-wise that had a solid concept. Personally, I like those better than Linkin' Bark Z DVD quality-made amvs... [:p to j00 all ^_^]
