Dumbest question ever!!!

Post by Enigmay84 » Mon Apr 26, 2004 5:48 pm

Like I said, this is a stupid question, but I can't figure it out. I downloaded some vids off the site, but when I open them (in WMP, or Quicktime for example) they just play the music  but not the vid! I already have the songs, I want to watch the awesome vids from Sakura-con again! If anyone out there knows why this is happenning to me, please help me...?

Thank you in advance for even reading this.

I'd say you're missing a codec. Go find divx. (Googling will get it) Most vids on here require that.

Sounds like a codec issue. The files in question are probably .avi files, so check the properties for which codec they're using. (right-click, properties, details tab I think)

The search for the proper codec, download it, and install it. Chances are it's either DivX or Xvid. You also might want to check out the General Video and Video Software Help forums, as this question belongs there.

Good Luck! :P
Another pointless post!

Go into the Editing Faq by ermac and absolute destiny, download AMVAPP...
Even if you never make videos, it comes with just about every codec that editors are gonna use on here.
