Any song suggestions
I need a slow melodic funeral type dirge song, anyone have any suggestions? I'd prefer an instrumental piece although I can work with singing provided the singing isn't a prominent part of the music.

King Crimson - Epitaph.
A lot of it is instrumental, very symphonic-sounding , and it has this very distinctive funeral march ring to it. The lyrics only add to the feel, but aren't there for well over half the song (and don't over-dominate the soundscape when they're on).
Check it out, it's really the closest it gets to your description!

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I thought of that too - BUT - on the other hand - it's very possible to cut it down, since there are quite a few repeating parts, especially with the main vocal line.bum wrote:yeah, thats an awsome song. on problem with making an amv with it, is that its got for 8:24 , which makes it a bit (too much of) chalenge for most people
It's possible to take it from something like 2:30 or 3:45 without ruining it completely, and cut down a bit of it on the end - and with smarter editing, you could get even better and more coherent.

Thanks for the suggestion. If I edit a lot of it out then it's almost what I want although the song is a little too ummm... prominent for what I want. My wife pointed out that what I want a slow Enya song if that tells you the type of mood I'm looking for. I'm scouring Enyas works now to see if she's done anything that doesn't put me to sleep.

mmm, good thought. Can't think of anything like that off-hand right away... but basically, from what I understand, you're looking for something less tragic, more just somber and bleak. Not a problem then. If I come across something, I'll tell you...

Yes! I second that.wildarmsheero wrote:The Godfather theme is always a good one.
That would actually be my top pick for the sort of mood you're looking for - thanks for reminding me
