Kagome vs Kikyo... who would you pick?

heres the deal... i was watching InuYasha tonite with my friend and the last thing he had to say, of course, was "wheres my kikyo." SADNESS! i was about to gag cause i would personally love to see kikyo burn. anyway my sister than mentions how more people would want InuYasha to be with Kikyo. So as you prolly can tell what my question is going to be by now... who do you like better INUYASHA AND KAGOME or INUYASHA AND KIKYO. personally Kagome > Kikyo total ownage! Poor Kagome has to put up with his constant cravings of Kikyo while he gets all pissed at her cause of koga when she did nothing! grrrr he makes me mad sometimes! man talk about dedication to first loves! hey thats another one... poor Kaoru, dedicates her life to Kenshin and hes still a jerk to her and still yearns for Tomoe. so another one is KENSHIN AND TOMOE or KENSHIN AND KAORU? I dunno thats a tougher one for meself, have to think on it.

Kikyo. She's a fundamentally more interesting character.

Kagome has two big advantages though, 1) she's alive (this I think makes a difference to most gus, I hope) and 2) she's a high school chick, so she has more years before she gets all old and cynical like Kikyo's sister.

Kikyo, however is a more powerful magic user by magnitudes, is able to travel freely throughout the land, and can find Naraku whenever she wants, something that Kagome and CO have been unable to do for over a hundred episodes. Kikyo does not wear her school uniform for traveling to other worlds. Kikyo was Inu's first love, and thus no matter how much Kagome might deny it, she will always be jealous.

Kagome. Kikyo's a bitch. At first I pitied kikyo and felt sorry for her but now I just think she's annoying. Kagome isn't my favorite character and can be a little air headed at times but given the choice between the two, kagome is far better

Kagome definatly, bcuz the kikyo that was reincarnated (sp?) isn't really kikyo, it's not fully the same person, and definatly not the same person that inu fell in love with. i mean kikyo will never be as she was 50 years ago bcuz she died and her soul was reincarnated into kagome. plus kikyo wants inu dead, she said and i quote" i hate all living life" what a wench.

I would have to disagree here a little bit... I think Kagome possess stronger powers then Kikyo, its just she doesnt know how to use them yet, i mean she only recently discovered em. Cause if you look at the time when she was taking Kikyos soul from her when she was just around her and kikyo said she had to get away from her otherwise she would take all of her soul. Also the time when kagome was tied to the tree by her insects and had to watch kikyo kiss inuyasha she was able to break through her powers so inuyasha could hear her and she could get him outta his trance, if kikyo was that powerful that wouldnt have happened. there was another time but i just forgot it... ill get bak if i think of it.

The uniform thing i agree with, but at the same time if you look at the japanese culture present day, wearing your uniform is the "style" the "in" thing. so maybe thats why?

also for kagome always being jealous... kikyo was his first love yah, thats something you dont forget but i think there is a stronger bond between him and kagome cause he constantly helps kagome over kikyo. If you have seen the movies, the first one i think it was, when inuyasha was hurt and he was laying by that tree, he was woken up just cause of kagomes presence by that tree in her day even though she wasnt right there. They were both able to sense eachother, thats a pretty strong bond if you ask me! anyway thats my two cents on that subject.. not trying to pick an argument just wanted to mention a few things the way i see em!
