Well, there was the great CNAE Anime Evanescence I mean Music Video Competition last year

Nope, it's all true about cons if you ask me. I really felt it an excess to have 3 (I think, maybe 4) evanescence videos in a 1-hour contest.

I've never seen LP/Evanescence videos in any con. listings.

My point is that, yes it's true...there is a world outside the org.

Eh, yeah its way overused, however, I feel that "In the End" poses a much larger problem than "Bring Me to Life".

You know, my Bring Me to Life video has my highest star average.

I'm surprised that I still like watching it. When I was making it, I was worried that I'd hate it later because I was already sick of the song. But now it's one of my favourite videos that I made. I do kind of wish that I did a few things different, though.

heh, my friend who works at blockbuster had to listen to bring me to life non-stop every day, because it was played on the radio every 10 minutes. drove him nuts.

but anyways, if you don't want to watch another 'bring me to life vid', just don't download it? there are over 10000 videos on the donut, and 300some are to bring me to life, which leaves some number near 10000 (no math for me now) of non-bmtl vids for you to enjoy.

Bottom line: Do what you want. I don't care how often it's done. Sometimes an idea just makes you happy, and I think that's the important thing.

That said, when an editor makes a good video to a song I'm sick of, I sort of wish they had done something different with their m4d sk1llz - but that's "I wish they had" or "I hope they do something different next time," not "grr smash you do what I tell you or else!"

If you're tired of Evanescence videos, start watching non-Evanescence videos. Nobody is being forced to watch absolutely everything on the org.

Though of course, I don't deny the fact that these are intensely overused. What I think is amusing is that people complain about Evanescence being overused for EVERYTHING. I've seen it come up in non-anime fan videos and, of all things, avatar making.

It's vague enough to apply to anything and teen-angsty enough for people to think it's teh d33p, so it gets plastered all over everything everywhere.

In other words, just watch something else and it'll pass.
