I was just wondering if Ghost in the Shell had any nudity, and if so how much and what type?

The reason i am asking is because I just recently got it and am wondering wheter or not to let my grandmother watch it with me. Thanks for any help.

Theres nudity, violence and swearing. Not really suitable for old people who wont appreciate the context, lol.

why dont you just watch Mononoke Hime (Princess Mononoke) with her, that abit safer than GITS?!

if she does watch anime....other than Astroboy

Nudity is one thing, but I think grandma would freak out over the exploding bodies from excessive gunfire.
There's nudity near the opening when the Major removes her clothing to go invisible, and near the end I believe when she goes invisible again and tears her muscles apart trying to open a hatch on a robot.
Watch it on your own, unless grandma is cooler than you and all your friends.

the nudity won´t be the problem. It wil be more like the big MATRIX-WTF? for her watching GitS. Princess Mononoke or Spirited Away as an easygoing fairytale might be better.

Yea, GITS is quite violent and edgy - not something I suggest unless you're grandma is a big fan anime already.

(well, of course if she likes the Matrix though, she'll definitely enjoy this. Otherwise...)

my mom saw GITS and she didnt really get the story but she though the animation was cool. maybe your grandmom would be fine watching it. my mom isnt any big anime fan either, infact she dosent really like it, the only ones she saw was GITS and Bebop Knocking on Heavens Door.
