Plagiarism in AMV contests

For the third time, the same vid of mine has been plagiarized by the same vidder. Now while this pisses me off on principle alone, there's a new twist this time - according to the video information for the newest vid, she's entering it in the AMV contest at Anime North.

What should I do? I'm pissed off enough that there's nothing I can effectively do about the plagiarized vids on this site, but having her take credit for my editing in an AMV contest is a step too far for me to ignore.

If anyone has some past experience or advice to offer I'd be very grateful.

Not to state the obvious or anything, but have you tried contacting Anime North and providing proof that it's a stolen video?

Exactly what video was plagurized? Not to be rude or anything, but for all we know, he was the one who made the video and you might have plaguried him.

Also, when you say "plagiarized", do you mean that she used clips from your AMV as footage? Or did she take your entire AMV verbatim and take all the credit for it?

This is the third time that Kasra's "A Killer Smile" vid has been plagiarized. The second time was the worst, where that vid and another (Kumagarou's "Comfort Through Weiss") were spliced together to the same song as Kara used in "A Killer Smile". The resultant monstrosity plagiarized even Kasra's title.

For proof, look at the creation dates of the vids.

And the quality, for that matter.

Most of the time it's just using obviously edited clips, except for "Young Killers Smiles", which pastes most of Kasra's "A Killer Smile" and Kumagarou's "Comfort Through Weiss" together to the same song as used in "A Killer Smile".

It wouldn't even be so bad, if it weren't that she was using so much of the obviously edited footage. 40 sec. in a 4.5 min. vid is kindof excessive - even if she just rips her footage from videos, why paste the scenes back together in exactly the same way?

hey ummmm is it ok if i like put a 6 sec clip of someone elses AMV accidentally and just left it there cuz it looks so damn good?

By the way, if your wondering how i accidentally did it i was using premier and dropped the wrong clip in somewhere and then looked at it and decided it worked really well

P.S. actually its only like 3 seconds long, cuz the first part has no editing, its just a bunch of scenes that i mixed up so it would be different =P
