Newbie in need

Post by Unimatsuriku » Sat Apr 03, 2004 11:18 am

Hi, I'm new here and I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to pass me some info on good cheep video/music editing software, also I just wanted to clarify an issue: are we allowed to download clips from anime's to use in the video's? I remember reading somthing in the signup thing but then I noticed some people had downloaded anime's and used clips.

Thanks, UNI Unimatsuriku

There are tons of sticky threads with what you're looking for. We love nothing more than a newbie who's smart enough to look around on his own and (*gasp*) use the search function before immediately asking a question, so keep that in mind before you post asking for help.

Hypothetically, no. Realistically, it's impossible for the site admins to stop people from doing this. However, the cons of using downloaded clips (quality issues, interlacing, having to block out/erase subtitles, etc) far outweigh the pros of using downloaded clips. They're a bitch and a half to work with (as Premiere can't handle DivX/XviD files), and in the end your editing will go smoother and your quality will be higher if you go with a DVD source.

Theres also ulead media studio pro, among other 40-100$ solutions you will find in places like bestbuy. your best bet is to search online for reviews on such titles (such as ease of use, etc) and make your decision based on these, and the many stikies and posts on the subject covered in these forums before.

And don't worry, I completely missed the stikys when I first came here aswell asking about avisynth ;p sometimes one does not realize that when one is very frustrated at having not found said answer by oneself, one may miss certain obvious things like search and stikys ;p
And this one here must stop using "one"s so much in ones sentences.... :D
