When do you assume to IVTC?

Post by Bushido Philosopher » Fri Apr 16, 2004 11:25 pm

Is it safe to assume that when you see interlacing artifacts that you can IVTC the footage to get rid of them and only end up with the progressive frames? (Most of what I have been working with however is 29.97 NTSC footage so that may be a little coincidence.) I'm just wondering about the appilcations of IVTC.

No. Inverse telecine is for correcting telecined footage and only telecined footage, and will make true interlaced footage look like crap.

Is that "PerculiarBlend()" supposed to be "PeculiarBlend()", or is that how the function's actually spelled?

Of course, I never meant to imply that it's not a very helpful and well-written guide... Image

It's not all helpful as it refers to scripts and other things that are in the new amvapp but you get the idea.

AD I could kiss you.
