Then why do you need to import them into WMM? Maybe if you want us to help, you should just tell us. Ari's not being a bitch. It sure as hell sounds like you're going to use other people's videos to make your own video (or maybe just rip the whole video) but now want to deny it.
You got off on the wrong foot. If that's not what you want to do, then you should explain. Because people don't want their videos stolen. Try to be reasonable here, and we will try to help you.

So don't call Ari a bitch when she was right about you stealing footage to make your own video. People are touchy about that.
If you never release it here and are just using it for practice, then there's no problem with it. And if you do want to release it, contact anyone that you took footage from, show them the video, and ask their permission.
Anyway, this site has tons of videos catalogued and hosted. You should be able to find anything you need here. I don't know of any good DBZ video sites right off hand, so that's all I can tell you.
But please hold to your word and don't release any of your videos without contacting the creators first. ^_^

Ah, I"m a bitch sometimes, but at least I"m honest about it. ;p
If you want to know how to get your own footage, then I'd suggest reading the guides (on the Member Main page, on the left - the 'all things audio and video' guide). They'll tell you how to rip your footage from your dvds. Of course, if you don't have a dvd player you'll have some trouble with that. Other methods are via capture card - that lets you get footage from vhs tapes, but I've never done it so I can't help. You'd need to look over the 'General Video' or 'Video Hardware' sections if you want to see how other people do it.
As for practicing on other people's videos - I see no problem with that. If you'd said you wanted to practice on them, and wouldn't be releasing them, then I wouldn't have called you on your post. What you said was that you weren't taking footage, but that you wanted footage to edit with. Direct contradiction. You weren't clear on just wanting to *practice* with the footage, rather than to call it your own.
But what gets me is the format problem. Mpg videos should be much easier to edit in windows movie maker than wmv vids. If you're using wmm 1.0 (no effects, no spikes on the audio tmeline) then you should check the microsoft website and upgrade to version 2.0 (it's free). I know wmm 2.0 does fine with mpg. WMM just doesn't like compressed files - if you're having problems with lock ups or skipping or previewing - that's the editor itself, not just the file type. Most people who use wmm have that sort of problem on a regular basis (I use it with huffyuv clips, right from dvds, and it *still* locks up when it's feeling picky). You can look through the 'Video Software Help' section for this - lots of posts on how you can make wmm run better for you.
As for the videos you're making - Flint's right, just ask and most editors won't care much (so long as you take footage and not edits, and are willing to credit them as your sources). Just make sure you use high quality videos or the end result will look very nasty at fullscreen.

I think this site is better for your hard feelings.
