A WMM challenge vid from a Pseudo-Old-Skool Wannabe.
Made with 100% free programs. And love. And possibly human entrails. And the horns of an Elder god.
This is probably the largest WMV in the DB, weighing in at 90 mb. There are several reasons behind this, the formost being the need to keep DVD quality and CD sound while still retaining the WM9 encoding. Another reason is the vid clocks in at just over 6 minutes. I had to write filters and output settings, just to get it looking decent. Tell me what you think.

Hey! Not bad at all, and even despite the evil flashes, it was pretty good. I think I actually liked the beginning part best.
Now, as someone who's working with Spriggan right now...
just one main criticism - it seemed real linear at points - especially the Istanbul fight and Yu vs. Fatman. Kind of seemed like you've had the entire scenes in there flowing along, which is alright, but kind of stands in contrast to some parts towards the beginning where you've had everything in the music synched to something.
Other than that, as a combo of fast music+cool fighting - eh, it works out. And the filters towards the early parts are definitely neat for something Freeware

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

My style of editing is to choose clips linearly. In an NLE, this isn't much of a problem, because I can throw clips anywhere I want. But in WMM, I kinda got into the rythm of throwing clips in as I got them. and this turned the video into a 6 minute advertisement for spriggan... I realized this about 3/4 the way through the vid, and it was too late to go back and change it... If you go back and change footage in the earlier parts of the vid, it changes EVERYTHING from that point on.Otohiko wrote:just one main criticism - it seemed real linear at points - especially the Istanbul fight and Yu vs. Fatman. Yep, and not that I blame you for it. Particularly considering the amount of footage available in Spriggan, I mean there's only about one action scene you didn't use (the one involving Little Boy).
Granted, the vid is still pretty cool.
