Wanna hear a funny story? No? Good. I worked on an esca vid for a year. Then my HD crapped out on me. Guess where my esca vid went.
A. To heaven
B. To Texas
C. Down the crapper
My point, I work on my vids for about anywhere from 5 mins to 6 hours a day getting next to nothing done. But I NEVER give up. The only time I ever burn out is when my progress gets destroyed and I need to start over. So keep all your important files on a secondary HD. If you're getting frustrated with a vid your working on, (which it sounds like you are) it's even more important to back your stuff up. If you're frustrated it's even more likely you take a break from that vid and something craps out on your comp and you need a format or something and suddenly realize that damned vid you worked so hard on and put yourself through so much pain for is gone. You can get frustrated and walk away a million times but as long as the project file is still there you can start back up anytime you want to.
As far as making deadlines are concerned I don't know. If I had a deadline for a vid and I didn't have much time you've got a judgement call to make. You can work at it and if you arent going to make it in time just forget about the con, or you could half ass it and make sure to get it in.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab
