I got the box at Anime Boston. Having never experienced AzuDaioh before, I love it...

Not really. She still sounds like a kid to me. Osaka doesn't sound right, though. Something just off using that accent.

Dude!!!
I dont know about you!!! But I really like to read!!!
But of course the DVD is better because it is animated and more funny.
But with my experience with animes and mangas I have to tell you that when you see the cartoon they take out a lot of the jokes and the story, they might even change some caracters. I would recomend you to buy the Manga. Its like seeing the movie of The Lord of the Rings and reading the book. When I read the book, the book was much more better than the movie. And many important things that came in the book were not included in the movie.
But this is me!!! You say that you are not the reading type of person then I recomned you to buy the DVD.

The anime's what got me into Azumanga Daioh in the first place, and I later read the manga. While I really like both, I prefer the manga version. It has all the humor without the filler that they seemingly added to be able to make it into a full-length anime. You can't really go wrong with either, though. They're both great.

k, now if that doesn't sound like an Apple Jacks commercial I don't know what does.

But think of all the things you can DO with the manga! You can have.. manga tosses.. Coloring contests... It can provide kindling in an emergency! YOU CAN TEACH AN ILLITERATE PERSON TO READ WITH IT!!

^^
blah blah blah.

I've seen one episode of Azumanga Daioh dubbed and I wasn't too crazy about the voices, I'm afraid.

I'd originally heard about the series from a friend who saw the fansubs and loved them. Then a few days later I stumbled across the first manga at B&N.

Needless to say (for all those who've read it) it is now one of my personal favorites.
