Funimation dealing with Kodoma no Omacha? Hey, they did a good job with Fruits Basket (c'mon 4 DVDs for 26 episodes; that's a damn good deal), and they're used on long-term series.

Dosen't mean it'll be out quickly, I remember when I made a big deal out of Sentou Yousei Yukikaze being liscensed, but it took them almost a year to get it out on DVD

But that was Bandai, though I don't know how long Funimation makes their releases.

Funimation: Example-DragonballZ

I hate the show, but look how many years it took them to release it, it wasn't like they were waiting for the episodes to be finished

FUNimation realized Fruits Basket wasn't selling so well because of the large price tag for the episode count, plus the cost of the dvd-9 media they used for it.

FUNimation will probably play it smart and milk out the series through 3-4 eps per dvd on dvd-5 media like the rest of their shows. You can always count on their dvd prices to be 5-10 bucks lower than most anime companies.

This makes me very happy!

I'm pretty sure the english verstion will suck as big of donkey balls as almost every other Funimation dub. But it will be out.

Yes. Like the fan and critically acclaimed dubs of Blue Gender and Fruits Basket. Which were left completely un-touched.

Right.

FUNimation bashing is soooooo 1998. Even I dropped out of that club. And I'm a founding-father.

I'm not bashing Funimation... wait, yes I am. But only their dubbing capabilities. Personally I really hated the Fruits Basket dub. Many of the voices just didn't fit the origenal character. I don't know about Blue Gender, never really got into that show, but like Yuu Yuu Hakusho has a terrible enlish dub as well. A few aren't too bad, but not that great like DB, DBZ, and Lupin III. I think as a company they are putting out some great shows. Its just, as far as english dubbing I haven't been impressed yet.

Wait...

You like the DB dubs, but dislike the FB dub? Woooooow. Not saying there's anything wrong with it, but you're in a small club all your own!

And what the bloody heck is there to whine about when FUNimation's DVDs get some of the best treatments to the Japanese tracks... ? You're (general plural "you're") not going to watch the dub anyway, so who cares?
