To understand what happens after the ending of Berserk, you have to read the manga. There is a possibility of a second series/season, or a movie, but last rumor I heard was that the director wants to make more, but is waiting for the manga to finish (presumably so that they know what parts they can take out and leave in for the story to still stay the same) and the manga probably won't be over for a long time.
Right now Dark Horse is releasing the Berserk manga, they're up to graphic novel 3 so far, but it'll be a hell of a long time before they get to the Eclipse. You could find scanlations or someting if you want to find out what happened, or just ask someone who has read the manga. I think Berserk's ending was superb, but that's just me.

First off, a simple search of the forum would have resulted in finding previos topics talking about this issue, trust me, I've been part of almost all of them. This is almost as debated as Hellsing 2 (which doesn't exist, it had the same problems as Berserk in Japan as far as the anime goes).
Currently there are no plans for a continuation of Berserk. The anime didn't do very well in Japan, which is odd since the manga is really popular. I guess since it lacked the violence and alot of key points that were in manga they didn't enjoy it as much. Anyways the ending would make more sense if read the manga. It continues it. Right now the manga is up to volume 27 (gonna be released in a couple of months). The events in the eclipse actually doesn't last too much longer past what the anime showed. The only problem they would have with continuing from where they left off is the introduction of a character that was in the manga and not in the anime (the one in my avatar). He was only introduced briefly in the manga prior to the eclipse but he is a pivot character later on. They also missed out on the chance to explain his origins during the Griffith rescue plot in the anime.
It would be nice if they finished it, quite frankly there is more than enough material to make up to a 8th season of Berserk even without the manga being finished. My only problem with it is that after the eclipse is the darkest, most violent, grotesque part of the manga (and I like it that way) so showing on tv would be hard. And quite frankly I would not want to see it butchered because of censor reasons (yes even Japan has those). The only option outside of a TV series is an OAV release but that is much harder to get done since you cant sell the series to a tv station meaning no tv ads to support production costs. In on honesty I highly doubt there ever to be a sequel. Which Im fine with since the manga does a better job of doing things plot wise. And personally I love the action scenes in the manga better than the anime. I suggest checking the manga out.

I honestly think the series should be remade. They left out so many things that I simply wouldn't want for them to continue in the same way. Taking out Puck & some kewl fights when they were rescuing Grifith is unacceptable for everyone who read the manga. Censore is not an excuse! If they continue in the same way, everything after the eclipse will be edited out to the bone! And I don't want that as well as every other Berserk fan. After the manga ends:
Whole series...remade...from the beggining...no editing censore!
