That would be me. I've gotten the impression I'm the only one that counts 'What the hell does this button do? Oh, it wastes two hours of my time and looks like crap. delete.' time as working on my vidoe.Pyle wrote:I have another question. When people say they worked on a video for 100 hours, did they spend like, 80 hours learning the program and 20 hours working on the video?

for me, the time includes concept, ripping and editing, etc.. Nut ripping is normally only one night, so it's more like: 95 hours on video, 5 hours ripping, prep of footagePyle wrote:![]()

Lol if that was teh case, each one of my vids should have about 200 hours logged on it. I think of a concept for about a week, then I rip footage for about 1 week, then I complete the video one or two weekends, then I add some effects in on another day.Vlad G Pohnert wrote:for me, the time includes concept, ripping and editing, etc.. Don't really wanna count all that. Just saying that people don't always work as hard as they say.
If you look at Shameless Rock, AD graciously admitted that even though it had been in the bin for 6 months, he had only worked on it for 6 weeks.

And yet...who cares how people count? Is it really that big of a deal that each of us counts differently?Pyle wrote:Lol if that was teh case, each one of my vids should have about 200 hours logged on it. That makes no sense.Pyle wrote:Half the time I can't rip from DVDs. The other half the time I don't rip period, because I can't find a good enough DVD ripper.Castor Troy wrote:If it takes 1 week to rip footage, you have one slow-ass dvd rom
That's like saying "Half the time I don't fly, the other half the time I don't fly period, because I don't have wings."
Actually a lot of what you say hasn't made a lot of sense lately so I should stop being surprised.
Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

Anyways, I didn't say I don't[i// I said I can't. This means that a lot of the DVD's I have are write protected. When I said I couldn't even when I got it work, that meant that every time I could only rip about ten minutes from the episode instead of the entire thing.
