Actualy I have noticed in every anime they show at least a little nudity. In Ghost in the Shell, the androids take off their tops and go into attack mode. In Fist of the North Star, that woman goes off naked. In Akira Tetuso's girlfriend gets beaten up and her clothes riped (a diffrent situation but still nudity). I mean even in the series they have an amount of eroticism.

Evangelion, you oftern see the charecters in baths or changing clothes, you see them remove undergarments of some kind or their parts are just out of view or like when Asuka shows Shinji thermal expansion. Tip toeing (sp?) on that fine line. Also in Excel Saga they oftern have sexual refrences.

Anime does get a little close to that but I've noticed they mainly do it in a comedic or innocent way.

im glad i have at least one store with some anime in it, blockbuster surprisingly has a good amount of anime, some are only jap too! i just rented perfect blue last week (really good movie)
anyhow, to bad the rest of the people around new what is. If i atempt to have a conversation with my family they'll usualy say "stop watching stupid dRAgon ball ZZ bullshit!" (yes they emfasis(sp) on the "r" and "a")
The thing that pisses me of the most is that at one time i was talking about evangelion
at least my mother has an IQ and i can actualy talk to here about it

Personally, I just take the "keep them out of the loop" approach with my parents. Its like an unwritten "don't ask don't tell" thing (they don't ask, I don't tell). They know about my interest, but for the time being, I really don't see any reason to elaborate with them, too much explaining. I think as far as I've gotten with my mother is explaning the difference between hentai and all other anime (lol, not that it much matters if she does think that's all it is, she's AT LEAST as perverted as I am! ) because she had heard a little about that. My farther really doesn't much care, he's pretty much under a rock as far as any anime is concerned (even though he's said he's caught a glimpse of some of it occasionally on Cartoon Network *cringe*), which is good, because while I think my mother would be fine relating to it, my farther is far too conservative (think American Gothic here people) to understand much if any of it, let alone relating to anime on our level. So far as stores that sell anime by me, we have some that are just so-so nearby, but a moderate drive away is Pandora's cube in White Marsh Mall (its a chain too I think so if you are looking for a good place to grab anime and you see one, I'd highly recommend dropping in. It can be a little pricey sometimes, but worth it, the selection is great, they even have wallscrolls.), which is great. There's Always Otakon too.
