i just thought of somewhere that i laughed at excel that wasnt related to pedro: WHY DO YOU KILL ME SO EASILY?! funny.
FLCL: THERES NOTHING TO GET. its a coming of age/boy meets girl story. its just that the director threw in a lot of extra crap hes interested in so it seems confusing.
(thats the director's vespa in the ending sequence btw.
I found the two most entertaining anime

Oh man, no way! Kare Kano is probably the funniest anime I have seen! Sure it's sappy as hell, but there's also tons of hilarious comedy. Aww man great comedy...Chef wrote:chabols: nope, not at all, and i mean that the plot goes in about 5 different directions in a half hour. very random.
heartbreaker: kare kano is waaaaay too sappy to be entertaining. i get enough of that crap in real life.
EXCEPT the scene in...i think the 4th episode where the OTHER good lookin guy grabs...whatever the hell his name is and holds him down and yells at him for being late for a date. THAT was hilarious.
Look at all my trials and tribulations

Heh, after episode 19 of KareKano, I can't not agree that it's just awesome, awesome entertainment at times.
But it's true. Parts of it are definitely NOT entertaining, but very serious - in fact, 'pointed sticks' of sorts, since I do find the series often touching very close to 'home' - well, at least it does go nicely into emotional stuff.
That, and I'm a sappy guy by nature
But never was there a time when I didn't appreciate its' frequent moments of humor.
Needless to say, it's now my favorite series.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
