When mothers are involved, arousal is always the correct option.

Hey dude, it may not matter to you, but I dream about being in Koop and AD's position. I wanna win the VCA and participate in Cons.
<i><b>No one is stopping you from sending your videos to cons.</b></i>

One year ago, I had only been on this site for a month, I hadn't read all the important parts of EADFAG yet, and I had ONE video that was anywhere near worth sending anywhere (and only two total). I saw some deadlines that hadn't passed yet and decided to submit it to two cons, figuring I had nothing to lose but the postage money. It ended up making the Otakon finals. Bam, a minute and 45 of semi-fame.

I didn't care that I wasn't as good of an editor as, say, Kusoyaro, Doki, or AD (I didn't know about Koop yet, because Euphoria was released the day after I joined and I kind of missed it). I didn't care that nobody had any idea who I was. I just sent the sucker in because I wanted to, and it paid off.

</relevant anecdote>

If you want to submit to cons, DO IT. The worst that could happen is that it won't be shown for some reason, and even then you haven't really lost anything.

And getting shown at cons --> <s>Northern</s> exposure --> people remembering your name and/or videos --> better chance of doing well in the VCAs.

*salutes*

I once said "Odorikuruu Killer"...

And turned out to be something unexpected... The Learning Process...

*yay* :D

Layering is actually easy to do, the PROBLEM is execution...

That's the question

"Though I can do this, how do I do it the 'right' way?"

This little question has plagued me forever, and even now, it's still going ;_;
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)

yea, it's how you use it not how you do it :P once you figure it out, it doesn't mean you'll know how to use it right.
