That's just my opinion.
As far as his right to make a remake... I support it. Does he have kevin's permission? No? But can he even GET kevin's permission? Hell no, he sure can't.
Why would someone even want to make a remake in the first place? Well for one thing, many people really love the video. And when you love a video, you want to see it in it's best form. The only existing copy of Engel is SHIT. Both the video and audio quality are horrible. Is it wrong for someone to want to see how the video would look at better quality? Is it wrong for someone to want to show the better quality to others who might happen to want to see the better quality as well? It was said earlier by someone, that if you make a remake, you should just keep it for yourself. While I can see that to an extent, the fact exists that maybe more people than just you would like to see it. And should every person that wants to see it have to make their own remake?
Now, I'm not saying that this video is a better version of Caldwell's. Cause its not. It screws up bigtime in spots. But I think peoples reasons for disagreeing with this video are off.
Just remember, a remake isnt a ripoff, its a tribute.

So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

It isn't as though they stole the video like some poeple have been doing with other videos as of late.

The video is just a cleaner version / different encoding of an existing video. If you have a remastered* version of your video file, do not create a new video entry.

I don't if you go by that way of thinking there's some very bad conclutions that can be made. People should be able to do to us what we did to Gianax and every other persons work that we used. None of us own any of the videos we work on, nor should we.

I don't understand why you think it makes a difference how many people worked on a given piece of input material. The point is how much you contribute. If you make creative decisions in editing a video, you are a video creator. If you don't, you are at best a video technician. Both can be important and worthwhile jobs.
This has no relevence to the discussion above it

I don't know what you think I said, but I don't want to spend time arguing with you about it.Sephiroth wrote:I don't if you go by that way of thinking there's some very bad conclutions that can be made.
