Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Escaflowne Dark Video

Post by Vega Sailor » Sat Apr 03, 2004 1:33 am

My first vid to use a lot of digital efffects and the first vid I have done where something hits on almost every single major beat in the song.
Full opinions are always welcome, but a simple reply to this post on how you liked the vid overall would make me very happy as yell. :D

Just click the link in my sig that says "Dreamworld", it's the only link with a picture banner.

Thank You!

Okay.......

The Picture for the link is not working.......

Well, just click the link that says "Dreamworld" and it will take you there.

Um, also could some one tell me how to put a picture that links to my video in my sig. Please, that would be very helpful.

Here is an example: Here is an example to take advantage of

Looks like a regular url marker. Put the IMG where the text would go.

Very nice act sync Vega , the editing style that I enjoy more on AMVs :D

I hope you try to make improvements with the capture quality of your vids , I will enjoy it more if you try to encode your vids in AVI files ^^

But you have a problem with your sig images , the size allowed in this forums it's 40 X 600
Nothing usefull here .

Actually my vid is an AVI, I used virtual dub to encode it using Divx. I have really good perfect footage going in, but when I try to keep the good quality, I end up having these giant file sizes.

Any suggestions? And don't tell me to go read the guides, I have done that but they're really complicated and I don't have the time to sort it all out. What I need is just example of what other people use? Filters? Biterate? Image size?

That sort of thing.

P.S. Thank you for in forming me about my banner problem.

Yeah to encode your vids isn't that hard , the guides confuse me a lot too , but I need to know wich programs are you using to encode your vids , and if you're doing with 1 or 2 pass encoding ^^

Currently, I have been using Divx 5.1 Codec, 1-pass in Virtual Dub.

Nice, fast paced video there.

You 'really really' like fades and inversion effects don't you?
