10 free ops. Cheerful, lighthearted, romantic, or combined.

Post by madbunny » Fri Apr 02, 2004 1:29 am

Okay, the ten mellow videos that I got were really cool, and varied.
I've decided that I like doing opinions like this, since I'm seeing things that I'd have most likely ignored.

So here is my next one.
I'm looking for cheerful videos here, it doesn't have to be a technical masterpeice or anything, just watchable.
If it has technical problems, expect me to comment on them though.

Examples of what I'm thinking of here might include Omnistrata's Gimme Gimme or Atchangs Happy Boys & girls. While both of those are dancy in nature, your submission doesn't have to be. It can be a romantically inclined video, or even a parody as long as it's light hearted. In fact since I'm a sucker for a light romance video you will probably get a better score if it fits that category, so long as the emphasis is on light, Kyoto Rain might be 'the' kenshin video in my opinion, but it's not what I'm looking for tonight.

If you already have a 'large' number of reviews I might restrict myself from a full deconstruction of the video to a basic: what I liked, what I'd change style review.

This is a free Opionion offer, so you don't HAVE to watch or comment on either or my two videos (in the sig) but you are invited to.

Great, just in time for the primeire of my newest video, Run away with me. Done to Laputa. Its mostle Romantic/Sentimental, with a little fun/action and drama mixed in. Its mostly happy, not much sad parts. Not sure how well it fits in this category, its not VERY light hearted, but not VERY emotional either. Kinda inbetween I guess. but I try to keep Miyazaki's fun spirit in it.

Well check it and see if it fits.

I really want a full detail opinion on technicalities on it, since this is the hardest I've ever tried on an AMV to make it perfect ^_^

Wow, that was an excellent video. I'll be checking out your other stuff when I get done with this one.
This video was really well done and deserves a good deconstruction, so it'll take me a couple hours to finish it. Expect your review later on tonight.
If I have any questions on particular effects I'll pm you for details.

Can you review Shrine of the Goddess 2. Currently my best rating vid. Here is the link:

Shrine of the Goddess 2

If you want to see the short first version which makes you want to see more here it is:

Shrine of the Goddess

I had people say to me the first version is to short and it is addictive to watch but yet the second version comes around and statisfies them for the most part. If you could op both of them that would be great. If you only want to op one I would prefer the longer version. If you decide to do both watch the first short version first.

Thanks ^_^

Feel free to ^_^ but be warned they are not as good. I learned alot inbetween those and this one.

This is a lighthearted Gundam Wing Video, everyone who has watched it so far has smiled at least a little :)
The quality isn't AWESOME, and I got rid of the Cartoon Network Label (this is kinda a rough draft to get ops on), so if you have any ways that you can think of for me to improve it, lemme know.

Ok, you've got your supercritical review.
After EXTREME nitpicking I've located a few tiny parts with miniscule errors.

As for your playback: My Laputa dvd doesen't look this good, so technically you should get an 11. :D

I hope this helps.

I watched both videos. The second one felt like it had remastered the first one, and finished the song. I left an OP on the second one. All of my notations there should apply for the first one, with the exception being that the sound and video quality was much better in the second one.

End result: decent, but I think you can do better, based on parts that I saw in your video. IE: you've got what it takes, but that skill wasn't on 100% during either of these videos.

Madbunny you op my first shrine instead of Shrine 2. If you want to change the ratings on the first and copy the op to the second one that would great as well. Don't worry I've had someone else do it before.
