My advice: Don't try so hard, put half the effort in it. It will look good if you do random clips to random syncing and/or random lip syncing. Half the time, people will see a message that was never intended to be there.

Like with everything, I agree that putting time into something will amways be better then a quick rush job. I do spend 100s of hours on a video but this does not mean that that much time must be spend to have a good video. If you do spend a considerable time on a project, then you've got to love it enough to keep on going. This includes the music, the concept, editing and everything about it....
