Sailor Uranus in Sailor Moon Manga

Post by mj31588 » Sun Mar 28, 2004 1:14 pm

Uranus can be a man and a woman in the manga, correct? This close-minded person won't believe me even though I gave them evidence.

"Princess," says Michiru. "Uranus is both a man and a woman. A soldier of both genders, with the strengths of each."

See. :). I believe she's a man when she is the Tuxedo Kamen person(Not Mamo-chan), and in the manga they refer to her as a man and a woman.

:P!!! They call her a boy and a girl throughout the manga. I think it is literal, it's similar to the Starlights, but oh well. *sigh*

They shouldn't put stuff like that in there anyway! I am like one of the most naive people in the whole world.

Ahem she is always taken as a boy first glance, Michiru implies that she has a masculine persona, however the two of them are both women. Note also how she is the Princess of Uranus.

In the manga the Starlights disguise themselves as men, and in the anime they transform into men, however it doesn't change the fact that they are in both cases, women. They believe that taking on male identities while on Earth will help them locate Princess Kakyuu because in their male disguise - they pose as singing idols. And girls, even Princess Kakyuu, would be drawn to male singing idols. Not to mention the whole song thing, but I won't get into that.

Still, Neptune could have left out the "she's a man and woman" part and just left it as "best of both sexes". :)

Mmmm... Uranus... I love Uranus. I think NASA should probe Uranus more often, to find the cause of those violent outbursts of methane :)

She is a girl, but she dresses like a boy...I don't know that's confusing. :?
