I don't know why there aren't any comments, this AMV is very
interesting! Something very different, it's hard to describe.
It is very well done, it has the sort of retro-mood which suits
Metropolis so well. I didn't care much for the singer's voice,
though, he sounds a bit boring to me, and the music becomes
a bit jazzy at the end, which I find somewhat jarring. Then
again, that's what happens in Metropolis! (And I found it
jarring there too :) What I mean to say is that, although I don't
really like the soundtrack that much, it is impeccably chosen,
so it really makes a lot of sense. It's so nice to see something
which substitutes some eye and ear candy for actual cleverness.
Very memorable, very good, especially the build-up of the first
minute or so, the noisy signal, cool stuff!
On the strength of this AMV I downloaded "Fade to Black" and
"Sky Flight". I was suprised at how well-made they are, but
even more impressive was the variety of techniques and moods,
from subtle and low-key (the latter), to massive eye-candy (the
former). You are a very interesting AMV-maker, without a
doubt. I'm a fan already...
I'd be curious to see what you would do with "La Blue Girl",
any plans for that? ;)
Cheers!
