Relative experience? Relative indeed

Oh wow.
You know, drawbacks aside, I love both these vids. Are they
great vids? No, and to be sure - I'd say they could use more of what most of the vids (besides maybe those by the obsessed 'technocrats', the likes of which mastered effects usage and over-usage) could use more of - editing time. I think the slight 'economy' on cuts in certain places resulted in some some cool opportunities being missed. More beat/instrumental sync would have helped, but I'm more concerned about 'mood contrast sync'. That said though...
White Queen was very good; the mood match worked excellently, BUT - I gotta say there are two major opportunities I consider to be missed there - there's no real transition when the 'sitar' solo comes in, and when the climactic part blasts in. My point would be that there's a lot of pretty sharp musical contrast, but no real sharp and immideate transition (if any) in the visuals.
The way you dealt with the ending was excellent though.
Black Queen was even better I think. Again though, the thing with the 'contrast sync' - the first major transition is again a bit missed (to the calm part), but the second one actually came off very well. Again, I like the way the conclusion is dealt with.
I'll use this as a kickoff point for 'formal ops' later, since I want to go really thorough on these 2 (because, again, with your music choices and the way you find the right footage for them shows a lot of potential and I'll try to give you as much technical feedback as I can). I probably won't be able to finish those for a couple of days.
Would I want to 'do a better job myself'? Almost. But, if anything, I think this makes me want to try a Tutu AMV soon myself...
My general conclusion - you have the right idea, it's the execution that needs improvement. Myself, I'm surprised, because the music/anime match turned out even better than I expected.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
