Well speaking for myself, if I get involved with all this then I am doing it for free - I wouldn't want it to affect my donation status.
That was just an example. :? I just think it'd be good to give the people that help some public acknowledgement. Maybe a thanks on the main page or a custom title or something.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

OK, I have created a SourceForge project, and it is currently awaiting approval at SourceForge - which should come though in a couple of business days. In the unlikely event that SourceForge decline the project we have other options...

Project Information

Project UNIX Name: videoeditorskit

Project Descriptive Name: Video Editors Toolkit

License: GNU General Public License (GPL)

Project Description:
A collection of cross-platform utilities to assist the video editing process including a lossless video codec and enhanced Premiere plug support for AviSynth.

Registration Description:
The project will provide a collection of cross-platform utilities to assist in the video editing process. C++ will be the primary language however some modules will be in other languages, specifically: C, x86 assembler, and Java.

The core of the project will be a cross platform lossless video codec based upon the (windows only) huffyuv codec and enhanced to support YV12 colourspace (the colourspace used by DVDs), and a Premiere plug that provides support for AviSynth files and is enhanced to more accurately resize video input.

And by the way, I would like to apologise to Anime Jedi for the way we have all so shamelessly hijacked his thread. Hope you don't mind.

Ooh, neat :)

So, should those of us interested in working on this project email kmv at the SourceForge address, or just post SF account info here?

I could be up for this(assuming that I can find some free time, which will prolly be after I finish my Otakon video). I guess I should set myself up with a SourceForge account to get involved.

Well... I don't know anything beyond certain types of specialized scripting so I'm out there... I know you guys have a Sourceforge project open but if for some reason you guys need webhosting let me know. I have way more transfer than I know what to do with right now...

Good idea; I'll do the same, in case anyone wants to track me down. (Ooh, stalking.)
