Is it like the movie? well the movie takes place around episode 20 something. The movie just shows how he became number one. He starts to fight stronger opponents. If you thought that dude that can rip off you nerves with his finger tips is bad. Wait till you meet the other opponents.

One dude is a doctor, and he moves your body water when he hits u.

 sorry, i'm just so sick i found that hilarious

i think the climax of the show would be when he fights his dad, so no doubt if season 2 is over and he hasn't done it yet, there will most likely be a season 3

well maybe an actual fight isn't necessary, but i consider it a fighting anime, so it's very likely, at the very least a stern confrontation

Hey where did you buy your season 1 and 2 if you did? I know it's not out in this country and you have to get it imported, but I don't know of any good places to purchase that aren't rip offs and horribly subbed.

try to look for a store called TooCool or sumtin of that nature
they specialize in imported stuff for the most part
you can get tons of soundtracks to anime, heck, i think every episode sumtimes has it's own soundtrack cd... expensive too

but they're not rip offs... well not in a way, they way that they bring anime is that they get the Hong Kong releases most of the time... which are really bootleg in a way because you can a whole series in like 2 dvds, heh heh

but it's a legitimate store, so it's not illegal, you get a receipt and everything! :D

I use [Link removed]. I got both Trigun and Bebop sets there for 60 bucks total. I been looking at the Baki stuff and it's only 30 for season one and/or two.

by the way, while it's being mentioned, How do you tell if it is a rip off? Is it when you order DVD's and get VCDs? I've been posting for a couple months now and I never really got clarity on the situation.

This is why I keep saying we need a bootleg sticky in this forum, because every month someone mentions d*******a****d**.com [blocked to make things easier for the mods] and how they can get whole seasons for the price of a single North American release.

Well, there's a reason. The people who put out those box-sets are pirates. They buy one copy of the Japanese release, pay a guy in Hong Kong to sit around and do crappy translation (or if it's out in the US, they just rip all the content from a NA release directly) and make up subtitles, then send the data off to an unscrupulous DVD-pressing facility while another mafia employee pulls cover art out of his ass. The reason they can sell for so cheap is because they, unlike the official R2 producers, don't have to pay back the costs of making the animation, and unlike the commercial licensors in the States and elsewhere, don't pay licensing fees for the privelege of making money off someone else's work.

How to identify bootlegs:
* If the price is too good to be true, it's probably a ripoff
* If it's described as "Region 0" or "all-region", it's probably pirated; there are a few legit regionless or multi-region anime DVDs out there, but not many
* If there is no English dub track, and the subtitles are in Chinese and English, it's almost certainly a bootleg; there are almost no official licenses for anime in Chinese-language markets
* If the series is spread across half as many discs as normally found at retail (say, 3 for a 26-ep TV series as opposed to 6), it is likely not to be legitimate
* If it is indicated as being distributed by one of the bootleggers listed in the Pirate FAQ -- a good read in any case -- it is absolutely, definitely produced in defiance of the law.

Even Taiwan has now signed the Berne convention. This stuff is not legal anywhere. Don't support the Chinese Mafia.
