Just looking at the new vid on the block
Ok, I had to. It was Fuerer Frei (or whatever the song is), so I guessed Dragonball Z. I was right, and decided to check the profile. I found what he said at the end funny:
In order to avoid forum stretching
I mean no harm in this, but it seems he is awfuly closed-minded about exploring different shows.

He posts on the forum. Maybe not much, but he has before (in the op exchange). And you can't complain if people don't want to watch vids for anime they've never seen. After all, what are the first things people look at when deciding what vids to watch? Anime/Song/Creator. Obviusly he wouldn't know the creator, so song and anime are the deciding factors - if all he's seen is dbz, then that's that. I know other people who tend to ignor vids for anime they've never seen.
So be nice. ^_^

Actually, I was surprised to see his fav anime list was filled in and only had one variation of DBZ and that wasn't even in first place. He watches a number of different anime (including YYH at #2, surprised you missed that ari ^_^.) It's unfair to lump people into one group and dismiss them as DB freaks. This guy just likes a certain type of video, not really any of our business. This happens all too often on the internet but it still bothers me when people are viewed one dimensionally. I know you didn't mean to belittle him Billy_wires, but is only DBZ/GT videos really all that different from no DBZ/GT videos please?Arigatomyna wrote:And you can't complain if people don't want to watch vids for anime they've never seen.

Yeah, I didn't look at the favorite anime list. But since his vids are all for the same anime, wanting to exchange ops with people who use the same anime just makes sense to me. That's what his op exchange was, as far as I remember (my memory can't be counted on) - just exchanging reviews between people using the same anime.
Besides, how many others do the "if you review mine, I'll review yours" note on their profiles or in their vids? I used to, but back then I rarely saw it being done by anyone else. Just that he'd make the offer (even if only to a certain anime) is something more than others do.
But now I'm trying to rationalize around the fact that I didn't pay attention to his profile aside from knowing what vids he'd made (the op exchange) and the message written. I was mostly thinking of the announcement board - these days I only get vids if the anime or creator catch my eye, so requesting exchanges for a certain anime didn't strike me as odd. Then again, I review anything whether I've ever heard of the anime or not, so it doesn't matter much to me. I'd rather do an exchange with someone who used the same anime (or song) as I did in the vid s/he reviewed if possible - but I wouldn't demand it.

Yeah, I suppose it was wrong to belittle him, and it is no different, pen-pen, but I guess I found it odd that he only wanted vids of that type, but then had a complete favorite anime section. Perhaps a more relevant question is why? Does he just not think that his other favorite anime are good for videos, or has he just not seen any good videos? Oh, and to Ari, if I did an exchange, I really wouldn't care if the video they did had the same anime, in fact, I would encourage that it have a different one. But that's just me.
And for the record, I wasn't belittling the choice of anime, as I like DBZ and have plans for videos. So kiss my rosie red. And by rosie red I mean butt.
