i'm not familiar with the anime, but i have a suggestion:

make a text file with the song lyrics
after each line where you'd show a new scene, state which scene you'd use
list scenes to be used in instrumental riffs solos

if you can finish the list for all (or most) of the song, then go on to make a rough "alpha" version of your video, just the scene cuts with no fancy effects or transitions.

if you like what you see, clean up the timing, transitions, cropping, and the like and you have a final product.

this is a general suggestion of a process regarding decisions of whether or not to use a song (and a good way to plan out a video before investing a lot of time in it - to see if you can come up with a plan). this way, you'll know if you have enough ideas after 20-30 mins of work rather than several weeks and can then decide whether you should proceed or wait for more ideas.
may seeds of dreams fall from my hands -
and by yours be pressed into the ground.

I'm not really sure it would work, since the song is about a woman, and Kurama is, well, a man...unless you were going for a yaoi music video. :P
Probably too busy to be here right now.
