Here is the Link for that:
<a href="http://www.xvid.org/">http://www.xvid.org/</a>
That'll only do you good if you (1) have your computer set up to do development in C and x86 assembly or (2) have an interest in XviD behind-the-scenes goings-on.

Koepi's XviD 1.0.0rc3 binary can be obtained at http://roeder.goe.net/~koepi/

You don't really need this, though, for watching AMVs encoded in XviD --
most people who use XviD encode it so that it can be played back with DivX5. You'll really only need it if you want to encode videos using XviD or to play back videos encoded using XviD features.
Trythil, using the latest version of Xvid, how do I ensure that my files are DivX compatible? I"m looking around and can't find any options that reference divx other than the fourcc code.

You could save yourself a headache or 10 by going to Doom9 and getting ffdshow. I dont know exactly what it is, but from the name I'm assuming its a direct show decoder for alot of avi formats. Whatever, I dont care, its a hell of alot faster than the DivX decoder anyway.
